Hygiene Treatments
Scale and Polish
​
A deep cleaning session of all your teeth to remove plaque and tartar that can lead to gum disease. The hygienist will also offer advice on how to maintain your oral hygiene and demostrate the best way to clean between your teeth as well as tooth brushing in general.

RSD Sessions
​
Root suface debridment is a more advanced treatment than a scale and polish and is often done under local anasthetic. Surfaces of the roots are throughly cleaned to remove all debris to help improve gum disease symptoms and gum pocketing.

Advanced Periodontal Treatment
​
Patients who are suffering from gum disease may find a session of advanced periodontal treatment is needed. After throughly cleaning the teeth special medicated chips or gel are placed into the gum pockets over a period of 3 months. The medication that is released helps the teeth to firm up and reduce the pocket depth prolonging the life of the teeth and making them more comfortable.
Airflow Polishing
​
Airflow polishing is a great way to remove staining from the teeth caused by coffee, red wine and coloured foods. It is a mix of water and bicarbonate soda which is 'sand blasted' onto the teeth removing the stains. It is not damaging to the teeth.
